Quark XML Author 4.0

Quark XML Author 4.0 for Microsoft Word 2010

Hardware

Quark XML Author requires the following minimum hardware configuration:

  • 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) processor or 1 GHz 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 2GB of available hard disk space
  • 1GB of RAM (2GB or more recommended)
  • Display with 1024 x 768 or higher resolution monitor
  • Peripherals suitable for Microsoft® Word authoring
  • DVD-ROM drive for installation from DVD (not required for installation from download)

Software

Quark XML Author requires one of the following operating systems:

  • Windows® XP Professional with Service Pack 3 (SP3) or higher
  • Windows Vista® 32-bit (Enterprise, Business or Ultimate) with Service Pack 2 (SP2) or higher
  • Windows Vista® 64-bit (Enterprise, Business or Ultimate) with Service Pack 2 (SP2) or higher
  • Windows 7® 32-bit (Enterprise, Professional or Ultimate)
  • Windows 7® 64-bit (Enterprise, Professional or Ultimate)

Quark XML Author requires Microsoft Office 2010 32-bit

In addition, the following components are required for installation:

  • .NET Programmability Support (advanced customization in the Microsoft Office Word installation)
  • .NET Framework 3.5. Quark recommends.NET Framework 3.5 SP1. It is available for download at Microsoft’s Download Center: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads
  • Shared Add-in Support Update for the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (KB908002). It is available for download at Microsoft’s Download Center: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908002
  • If you want to author math equations, then Design Science MathType™ version 6.7 or higher is required. Math equations can be saved in MTEF or MathML formats..

Quark XML Author 4.0 for Microsoft Word 2010: DITA Edition

The following provides the hardware and software requirements of Quark XML Author for Microsoft® Word.
