We have been contacted by a couple of our customers telling us that when they have paid for an annual subscription to an app on IOS the App is still asking them to pay for individual issues even though they have paid an annual subscription. Even for the first issue.


Our subscription mechanism relies on 'deadline date' of an issue, that means published issues with deadline date falling within subscription period would be accessible to user. If an issue is published after deadline date, any users buying subscription between these 2 dates wouldn't be able to access that issue via subscription.


  1. Login to App Studio portal

  2. Browse to the Publication > Issue which is asking to pay

  3. Verify the deadline as well as the Publish date of the issue, click on the edit button in front of the issue and change it to a date same as Published date.

  4. Re-publish the issue
