Newsstand apps allow issues to be auto-downloaded in the following cases: - the app is connected to WiFi when it receives notification of the new issue - the user has signed up for a subscription covering the issue (either free or paid) - the user has signed up for push notifications from the app If your auto-download sometimes fails, it's likely that your iPad wasn't connected to WiFi, or the push notification from the publisher failed to reach your device (they aren't guaranteed). If your auto-download always fails to happen then please check the following: - your iPad is connected to WiFi and is switched on - you have enabled auto-downloads for this app in Settings app -> Store - you have enabled push notifications for this app in Settings app -> Notifications If none of these suggestions solve your problem, please raise a new question at
