Summary:


The Gill Sans Nova fonts are actually Unicode fonts and contain code pages for East Asian scripts like Japanese and Korean. Hence, they are grouped along with Japanese fonts in Japanese font grouping. All Unicode fonts which have East Asian language code pages are grouped in the Japanese font grouping like Arial Unicode MS. The normal Gill Sans fonts are purely Roman fonts, hence they are grouped in the Roman font grouping.




Solution:


  • Install the Gil Sans Nova fonts in your system.

  • Launch QuarkXPress and type some text to apply these fonts.

  • In the fonts list, Gil Sans Nova font family will appear in the Japanese font grouping like- After Arial Unicode MS or in that group.
