Follow these steps to resolve this behavior:




  1. Create a Root User account on the computer using the steps outlined in the Apple technical article at the following URL:

  2. Log out of your current Administrator account and log in as the Root User.

  3. Create a new folder on the Desktop and name it “ Applications” (type a 'Space' and type 'Applications').

  4. Copy the QuarkXPress 6.1 folder inside this folder.

  5. Run the Updater for QuarkXPress 6.5.


Background:

The QuarkXPress 6.5 Updater application cannot locate the QuarkXPress 6.1 folder. This can happen if permissions for the user do not allow application installation.
