Applies to : QuarkXPress 7.2 - 8.x, 9.X – Windows Vista
Problem description: When I try to launch QuarkXPress 7 or 8, it will not launch with a remote license which has been manually copied into the QuarkXPress application folder (according to the procedure used under Windows XP and OSX). That local license will not be found. Why is this happening?
Background: The location where the QLA settings are stored has changed under Windows Vista.
The remote license (XPressX.X.dat) file needs to be copied to the following location: C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Quark\QuarkXPress 7 (or QuarkXPress 8.0).
Solution: Copy the remote license to the location
C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Quark\QuarkXPress 7.0\ (or, respectively, QuarkXPress 8.0).
