Is it possible to checkin an image along with a Quark XML Author if the same image with same name exists on the Server ?

We have the image 'Picture.jpg' on QPP in 'Collection 1'. We would like to upload from QXA to QPP the topic 'Document.xml' (in 'Collection 2') with reference to newly added image 'Picture.jpg'?
Our QPP collections desired snapshot:
+ Collection 1
+ Collection 2
- Picture.jpg (new one)
How to upload new image 'Picture.jpg' to 'Collection 2' without any conflict with the existing 'Picture.jpg' in 'Collection 1'? With our current configuration of QXA 'Picture.jpg' from 'Collection 1' is always replaced with new one and no image is added to 'Collection 2'.
In Quark XML Author 5.x(with Platform Adapter) a new config option (searchLocationChoice) has been introduced to restrict the search to current collection. This config option “searchLocationChoice” of LocalReference can have the following values:
* GLOBAL - Set this value if you want to search matching server asset across all save locations. This is the default value of the searchLocationChoice.
* TARGET - Set this value if you want to search matching server asset in the target save location.
The config option needs to be specified in Quark.CMSAdapters.config.
