1. Close all instances of WINWORD.EXE. (This may include OUTLOOK.EXE if Word is used as an e-mail editor.)

2. Back up all existing configurations and files.

3. Choose Start > Run and enter 'regedit'.

4. Select HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software\Microsoft > Office > 12.0 > Word > Data

5. Delete the Toolbars registry key.
