Background:
Black ink is not the darkest color in the CMYK color space; 100% of all color is darker. Consequently, when you print to an RGB or grayscale device, this compensation is built into the color conversion.
To print black as 100% black to an RGB or grayscale device:
- Choose QuarkXPress > Edit > Preferences,
- Select the Color Manager pane, and choose QuarkXPress Emulate Legacy from the Source Setup drop-down menu in the Source Options area.
- Choose QuarkXPress > Edit > Preferences, select the Display pane, and choose QuarkXPress Legacy RGB from the Monitor Profile drop-down menu.
