Applies to: QuarkXPress 2018

OS affected: Windows 10

Background: When QuarkXPress 2018 is launched on Windows 10 it starts flickering and not allowing to do anything. It goes into not responding mode and in order to close the program, one needs to go to the Task Manager to kill the process. It occurs only on those machines which has Dual Monitors.

Solution: Change the Resolution of both the monitors. Resolution should be same for both monitors. Below are the steps to change the resolution on Windows 10:

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Select the Settings icon.
  3. Select System.
  4. Click Advanced display settings.
  5. Click on the menu under Resolution.
  6. Select the option you want. We strongly recommend going with the one that has (Recommended) next to it.
  7. Click Apply.
